Vusi Nova responds to claims he paid ‘R3k & beer’ to writer of his 'Ndincede' single

Vusi Nova  allegedly paid the writer of his hit song Ndincede, a measly R3000 and a crate of beer.

According to reports, he paid the writer of his hit song Ndincede just R3000 and a crate of beer and now the family is seeking legal advice on the matter.

Ndincede was first performed at the Exclusive White at Carnival party in Boksburg last Sunday (1 May).

This was reportedly before meeting the woman who composed the chorus of the song and gaining permission to do so. The family of Tanky-Tanky “Nteng-teng” Mabutho is accusing Vusi of taking advantage of the elderly woman.

Vusi Nova has denied the allegations, claiming that individuals are attempting to smear his reputation, but he did acknowledge that there was no contract in place with Mabutho.

“I spoke with her children, and they agreed with me. He told City Press, “We agreed on the percentages [of royalties], and we’re in the process of registering everything with Samro [the Southern African Music Rights Organisation].”

“She will not receive a contract from my firm.” It is expected to arrive from Samro, and the funds will be transferred to her bank account. Samro pays [royalties] twice a year, and the money is sent to her directly. I’m not under any obligation to her.

He went on to say, “It’s all about the royalties.”
